The Community area is a large part of the protected miyombo forest. Also this area of ​​the Kisungule Community reserve is part of a movements of animals (ushoroba) as they move from Selous on the Tanzania side to Niassa in Mozambique.

Records show the area contains approximately 500 different bird species (Stronach 2003). Mount Changalanga is very high and you can see the whole reserve, where they are located at Kakakuona. Kisungule is located in Magazine ward, Sasawala Division, Namtumbo District in Ruvuma Region. This area to the north is bordered by the Nalika Community, to the east is the Sasawala Forest, to the west is the Kimbanda Community Reserve and the Niassa Wildlife Reserve (Mozambique), to the south is the Niassa (Mozambique) park and the river Confession.
