UKUTU - JUKUMU
"Wildlife at a glance" Size: 639 sq.km  Region / District: Morogoro.

UKUTU WMA lie between 310000 - 435000 E and 9158000 - 9395000 N. The WMA extends from
Mkulazi Forest Reserve in the East to Mikumi National Park in the West.

In the North is bounded with Ruvu River and on the South by Selous Game Reserve.

Significance
The large part of UKUTU is open woodland which supports a high density of ungulates such as Wildebeest, Elephant, Buffalo, Zebra, Giraffe, Impala, Common Waterbuck, Bohor Reedbuck, Red Duiker and Sable Antelope, Hyena, Lion, Leopard, Wild dog, and Cheetah, Hippopotamus, Hartebeest, Bushbuck, Dik-dik, Bush pig, and Warthog.

Accessibility
All villages have fairly good road links to Morogoro Township, Moreover, Kinganguru and Matambwe are the closest airstrips to the WMA.

Iluma Wildlife Management Areas (WMAs)

ILUMA Size 511 square kilometers Region / District: Kilombero and Ulanga districts, Morogoro Region Iluma is located in Kilombero and Ulanga districts, Morogoro Region in the Eastern part of Tazania. Iluma is part of Selous ecosystem and most importantly part of Kilombero Valley Ramsar Site. The area borders Selous Game Reserve to the East. Most of the district area lies along the Kilombero river valley and part of it in the Rufiji Basin and Selous Game Reserve which extends to the Udzungwa Mountains National Park, covered by Miombo woodlands that rise to about 1700 meters above sea level. The area has 3 permanent river and 15 seasonal rivers which provide high potential for irrigation scheme. KIMBANDA The area is part of the Selous-Niassa Wildlife Corridor. It is rich in miombo woodlands and abundant wildlife reserve. The Selous - Niassa Miombo woodland ecosystem as a whole is the largest trans-boundary natural dry forest ecosystem in Africa covering 150,000 km2 and extends across southern Tanzania into neighbouring Mozambique. The wide variety of wildlife habitats - forests, wooded grasslands, open savannahs, granite inselbergs, seasonal and permanent wetlands and rivers - account for globally significant biodiversity.
